Wuregen:

You are right, but are your prepared for the inevitable?

If history is correct, China will try to decapitate Taiwan through a combination of naval blockades, missiles and electronic/information warfare. The Chinese State Security has already planted its agents and support in strategic organizations within the Taiwanese government, military, business and civic organizations. When it feels that it has a decisive advantage, China will strike.

Yes, America can repel this attack and can overwhelm China with its vastly superior military, economic and political might. The US Naval Aegis (surface), Patriot Air Defense systems are formidable, and its submarine warfare group out of the Hawaian Islands can exact enormous damages along the Chinese coastline. Even-though Chinese military strategist fear an aerial counter-attack by US F-22 strike fighters stationed in Hopkido, the Chinese menance is a real and present danger to Taiwan and Japan. Do not be fooled into complacency and relied exclusively on America.

America has many obligations worldwide and not enough supporters. At the same time, China's Communist Leadership can not afford to loose its claims to Taiwan, fearing the growing demand for annexation from Xin Jiang and Tibet as well as the domestic call for freedom and democracy. If it looses Taiwan, others will follow like 'falling dominos'. Knowing that it has neither popular support nor moral relevance in today's global world, the Chinese Communist Party must resort to its feudalistic policies of governance based in corruption, nepotism and fear. Without them, the CCPC can not survive.

Understanding the imminent Chinese threat as well as hopeful American support to defend Taiwanese democracy and freedom, will Taiwanese youths be courageous enough to stand up to the powerful tryants of Beijing?

Live well, and God is watching.
